Dr. Shamkiran is a highly trained Pediatric Endocrinologist with advanced expertise in managing complex hormonal and metabolic disorders in children. He completed his MBBS from JJM Medical College, Davangere, followed by MD Pediatrics and a Fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology from Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Bangalore.
He has worked across leading institutions including Aster Women & Children Hospital, Sparsh Hospital, and specialized clinics in Bangalore, where he has independently managed a wide spectrum of endocrine conditions. His clinical focus includes type 1 diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid diseases, pubertal disorders, and rare endocrine conditions.
He has a special interest in integrating technology into diabetes care, with expertise in insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring systems (CGMS), and data-driven insulin titration to optimize glycemic control in children.With strong experience in advanced endocrine diagnostics and multidisciplinary care, he provides precise, evidence-based, and personalized treatment tailored to each child’s needs.
Dr. Shamkiran has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and presented research at prestigious national and international forums including ISPAD and ISPAE. His work reflects a commitment to advancing pediatric endocrine care in resource-limited settings. Currently, he serves as a Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist in Bangalore while continuing to expand his clinical, academic, and research contributions, with a strong vision to bring technology-driven diabetes care to children across India.
